The Art of Hypnotherapy

User Ratings and Reviews

2 Stars A therapy book…poorly written
You need to have read the first book…”the art of hypnosis” to benefit from this book. It is based purely on the therapy side, and assumes you have read the previous book with constant back references.

However, I did not go back in hindsight and buy the first book because the style of writing had put me off. Far too many referrals to the authors mentor, and lack of detail on the areas of importance.

I would put this book at the bottom of the pile of books I have read on the subject….There are so many better ones out there!

5 Stars In-depth introducion to hypnotherapy for the professional
This is the companion volume to C Roy Hunter’s excellent introduction to hypnosis, the Art of Hypnosis. Although it can be read on it’s own, parts of this book are more understandable if you have already read the Art of Hypnosis. Hunter has an informal, first-person style of writing that makes the book enjoyable to read. This book is an excellent reference for both beginning and experienced hypnotherapists that is packed with philosophy, strategies, techniques, and scripts. It is intended for professionals and is probably not appropriate for someone who is only casually interested in hypnosis.

4 Stars A new look at an old consept of Hypnothery
As a teacher of Hypnotherapy Mr Hunter has taken the old way and made them new for those who need a full understanding of how to approach Hypnotherpy in the proper manner. Making the transition from Dr. Charles Tebbetts work has been exciting and rewarding…. Keep up the great work.
